And then, it got suddenly silent...

Holding your gun sideways says "hey, I'm a tough guy. Don't mess with me!"

Here we are reviewing the plans. Plan: rob bank.

It was Eric's idea. "Get a little money, ya know, on the side." The heist was supposed to go off without a hitch. Who would-a-known there would a been that off duty officer...

For Halloween(which is actually celebrated the weekend before the holiday in college) we decided to dress up as the robbers from the popular cult classic Dead Presidents. Unfortunately, most people thought we were mimes. That's o.k., we got to walk around with toy guns and feel tough. This ones for you uncle Tommy.(P.S.: the money is in the Egghead toilet.)

Mo' money, mo' problems.

A Night at the Opera

Looking towards a brighter future (there's really good nuts at the opera).

I think I look like my grandpa here. Doesn't Melissa look slammin'? I thought so. Hanalei did her hair. All in all I thought the whole affair was absolutely cordial.

I went to the opera last Friday with Melissa Juarez and a bunch of friends. We went to see Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer(the flying dutchman). Its about a sailor condemned to sail the seas until judgment day, unless he can find a woman who will be faithful to him until death. He's pretty sure that she doesn't exist, but ends up finding her.
I thought it was interesting that in the beginning of the opera the captain of the ship says "he who trusts in the wind confides in Satan's mercy." Ironically, it is the wind that blew them ashore that shows God's mercy and affords the maledicted dutchman a meeting with Senta, his redeeming love. The Flying Dutchman is like most operas, melodramtic but beautiful.
We ended up at IHOP. I thought that was a perfect place to go after the opera.

In My 24th year

I figured out the other day that I have lived almost 1/3 of my life. I've probably spent 1/3 of that 1/3 sleeping, 1/3 studying, and I'm not sure about that other 1/3.
I'm glad I could spend part of my time having good friends. Brooke, thanks for the cake. Confetti cake with white frosting, I doubt that it gets any better than that. Meg, Melissa, Sarah, Hana, and anyone else I missed, the decorations took me back to being 4. It was a great party. I could have shaken it to Rod Stewart all night long.

Shrimp on a Treadmill w/ The Final Countdown!

My mom always tell me to get on my blog. I thought I would do it for her birthday next Tuesday. What a way to start out, eh?
